If you have lip gloss stains on your clothes, it can be a tricky thing to get rid of.

White vinegar

It’s common for lip gloss to stain clothing. Fortunately, there are a number of ways to remove lipstick from clothes.  One method is to use dish soap. You can use either liquid or powder detergent. If your fabric is delicate, you may need to dilute the detergent with water. You can also try baking soda. But make sure you read the care label before attempting to treat your stain.

Another option is to use a solution of white vinegar and water. You can apply the solution with a cotton ball or sponge. The vinegar has antibacterial properties that will help remove the stain.  To get the best results, make a small amount of the solution and test it on an inconspicuous area.

If the stain is still not gone, you can use a hairspray. You can buy these in convenient spray bottles. You will need to let the solution sit for about 15 minutes before removing the excess. You can also soak a cotton swab in the solution and scrub the stain with it.

If the lipstick stain is already set, you can try using acetone. There are two types of this liquid, ethanol-based and isopropyl. This will remove the lip gloss. However, you should avoid applying it to delicate fabrics.

If you are looking for a more effective method to remove lip gloss from your clothing, you can try using rubbing alcohol. This can break down the oils in the stain and remove it.

Another alternative is hair spray. You can apply the product to the area and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. You can also try using a brush to work the solution into the garment.

You can also remove stains by soaking the affected area with a solution of baking soda and water. Then, scrub the stain with a soft-bristled brush. Once you have finished soaking, rinse the area with water.

Detergents

There are also liquid detergents you can use. These work the same as dish soaps, but are diluted. They are usually mild and can remove stains from delicate fabrics.

clothing

If your clothing is made of cotton, you can try blotting the area with a cotton ball soaked in vinegar. This will remove the stain and leave your clothes clean.

Some of these may contain harmful chemicals that could damage your fabrics.  For stubborn stains, you can also use acetone. You can mix a small amount of this with some other home cleaners.
